More About Lauren
It began with a vision that wouldn't let go. At just nine years old, Lauren Eckhardt saw something that would shape her life's mission: a soul trapped in a glass box, screaming to be seen, desperate to be heard, while the world walked by unseeing. This powerful image spoke to a truth Lauren recognized even then—that inside each of us burns a story that needs to be told.
She poured this understanding into a collection of essays called “One Burning Soul,” tackling subjects far beyond her years—bullying, racism, marriage, and the raw human need to be truly known. That same fire that moved a nine-year-old girl to write about life's deepest struggles, and the whispers of purpose God placed in her heart, now fuels her companies Burning Soul Collective, Burning Soul Press, and Burning Soul Ventures.
What began as a mission to publish books that inspire and empower has grown into something more intimate and real. As an award-winning, bestselling author and ghostwriter turned life story journalist, Lauren now sees how individual stories piece together to reveal the invisible threads God weaves between us all. Each memoir, each journey shared, helps us understand both ourselves and each other a little better, showing us how God moves through our lives in unexpected ways.
My mission is simple...
Story has always been the way I understand people.
I’ve worked on more than 30 books as an author and ghostwriter, and hundreds of books as a book coach and publisher, but the work itself always starts long before the writing. It starts with listening—paying attention to what’s said, what’s avoided, and what’s been carried quietly for years. Somewhere in that space, the real story emerges. When it does, the writing becomes honest, embodied, and unmistakably the author’s own. My aim is for readers to feel the story, not admire the craft.
Burning Soul Ventures grew out of years of sitting across from people who knew their experiences mattered but weren’t sure how to shape them. Through careful questions and deep collaboration, I help people make sense of their stories, see meaning where things once felt fractured, and articulate what their lives have been pointing toward all along. Often, the most powerful insights come from the moments they once believed disqualified them.
That work frequently extends beyond the page. I guide clients through authorship and help them clarify the deeper purpose within their story—whether that becomes a book, a message, or the foundation for a mission-driven brand or company. When story and mission align, communication becomes clearer, trust deepens, and the work reaches people in a way that feels genuine and lasting.
At the heart of it, I help people find their voice and learn to stand behind it. When someone understands their story and shares it with intention, it creates movement—within themselves and outward into the world. Those stories become bridges of connection, meaning, and hope.
I believe our stories matter. When they’re told with honesty and care, they have the power to heal, to restore, and to remind us that nothing in our lives is wasted.
I love…
